The area is also rife with great activities for families to enjoy in the area.
Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park 22400 Devonshire St., Chatsworth, CA 91311
Families can hike and explore in the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park. You’ll find a variety of plant life here as well as panoramic views. According to the California State Parks brochure, “The story of Santa Susana Pass includes an ancient Indian hunting trail, rocks used as shelter by native people, and hair-raising stagecoach trips down Devil’s Slide.” In days past, this area was part of a transportation corridor between Mission San Buenaventura and Mission San Fernando. This historic area was once home to three native groups — the Chumash, the Tongva, and the Tataviam.
Chatsworth Historical Society 10385 Shadow Oak Dr., Chatsworth, CA 91311
You’ll find the Chatsworth Historical Society at the Homestead Acre, a Los Angeles Cultural Historical Monument. Families can visit from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the first Sunday of each month. Because Chatsworth was home to different California Indian groups, you’ll find many indigenous artifacts as well as photographs and archaeological items representing Chatsworth’s early history.
Royce’s Arcade Warehouse 21817-A Plummer St., Chatsworth, CA 91311
Royce’s Arcade Warehouse is a popular 5,000-square foot arcade and repair center. You can visit on Saturdays (from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm) for “Saturday Freeplay” which requires a $3 per person entry fee. But then you can play anything you want, as much as you want. You’ll find classic arcade games, pinball, skee-ball, and much more here. They also rent out the space for private events such as birthday parties.
Total Equestrian Experience 21126 Chatsworth St., Chatsworth, CA 91311
If you’ve ever thought of taking riding lessons, check out Total Equestrian Experience. They offer riding lessons as well as camps at their facility. If you’re not sure if your child is old enough or ready for riding lessons, be sure to check out the tips offered on the website that answer the question “When can my child ride?” Lessons include information on grooming, and riders will be provided with a safety helmet. Check the website for rates and schedules.
Valley Relics Museum 21630 Marilla St., Chatsworth, CA 91311
A visit to the Valley Relics Museum is like traveling back in time. You’ll find a unique collection of artifacts pertaining to the history of the San Fernando Valley. On display are vintage neon signs, menus, clothing, art, photos, documents, and more. Families can visit the museum each Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with free admission offered to all who visit.
Stoney Point 11000 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Chatsworth, CA
Stoney Point is where to bring your family if you’re interested in exploring boulders that have formed caves, dens, and alcoves. This is a popular spot with hikers and rock climbers. You’ll find a small stream here, but there are no restroom facilities or drinking water so come prepared. Families will enjoy the scenic views and will feel like explorers after spending some time in this special spot in Chatsworth.
The Northridge Fashion Center is also a quick drive away and there are several eateries as well as Movie theaters nearby.
All of our strips and scoring machines will meet the space requirements to provide the best for both the athletes and the referees as well as coaches while fencers fence. All machines will have the score and time readily available so that it will make it easier for all involved.
