Armory will be open for equipment inspection 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Armory will open at 7:00am each day of the competition.
The AFM Annual RJCC is sanctioned tournament by the USA Fencing. The RJCC events provide an opportunity to earn Cadet/Junior regional points in respective gender/weapon categories and it is a qualifying path for Junior Olympics 2020 and July Challenge for based on fencer’s eligibility to fence in respective age category.

Fencers may only fence for one event at the time. If you pre-register for 2 events in one day, it will be at your own risk. We will not register fencers that are still fencing another event at close of registration and refunds will not be issued.
ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: Fencers competing must be current competitive members of USA Fencing. Your USA Fencing membership card will be checked during check-in, so please make sure you have it with you. Temporary paper membership cards can be printed off from https://member.usfencing.org/. Those whose membership card does not indicate that their birth year has been verified by USA Fencing will also have to show a birth certificate, passport or other government issued ID at registration. Copies of these documents are acceptable.

Non age-eligible fencers could fence an event if they have national points in a previous age category.
SEEDING The Bout Committee will use the current rating and points information found on the USA Fencing website for seeding purposes. Please verify that your rating and points standing are correct with USA Fencing and contact the National Office to resolve any discrepancies prior to the tournament. Seeding will be determined by the following criteria, in this order: Current national Rolling Point Standings according to age group and weapon. This filters down the entire list, Letter Ranking with year classification. Athletes with neither of the above are seeded in a random basis after the athletes who are seeded by the preceding factors.
It is the fencer’s responsibility to notify the Bout Committee of any registration discrepancies before the close of check-in for the event (i.e. wrong club, wrong rating, misspelled name, etc).
FORMAT All events will have one round of pools with 100% promoted to a direct elimination (DE) tableau. There is no fence-off for third place.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS All USA Fencing uniform requirements apply. This includes the mandatory use of knickers, long socks, and underarm protectors. Conductive foil bibs are required. Elastic strap at the back of the mask is required. Names are NOT required to be on the uniform. 800N SABER GLOVES ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL USA FENCING SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS STARTING OCTOBER 1st, 2015. 1) The rule in m.25.4 that chest protection for FOIL fencers must be covered by a soft material applies to ALL chest protection for foil fencers, regardless of style. The Armoury Equipment Check will test the mask, glove, lame, sabre cuffs, head cords, body cords and also chest protectors for foil fencers. Items that have passed inspection will be specifically marked. Directors will be checking for these marks prior to the start of fencing. Full Armory Equipment Check is required for all competitors, with no exceptions. Fencers only need to have their equipment passed once for the duration of the RYC. For Y10 events, a #0 or #2 blade is required. For Y12 and Y14 events standard blade length of up to #5 is permitted. These rules will be strictly enforced.
EVENT FEES All registrations made after Late Entry deadline cannot be made online and will be considered walk-ins. Payment at the door for walk-in registration must be made in cash or check only.
Regular Registration Fee: $35. Regular Fee per Event: $45 Triple-Fee Registration Fee: $105. Triple-Fee Fee per Event: $135 Walk-in fees: Same as Triple Fees Payment plus $100 at the door for walk-in registrations must be made in cash or check. Walk-ins will be accepted only at the discretion of the Bout Committee.
REFUNDS Registration fees and administration fees will not be refunded. Last day to request refund of entry fees is November 15, 2019. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Refunds will be processed by the national office 4-6 weeks after the tournament.

Please make sure you park your car in the designated parking only: either in AFM Sunnyvale parking lot or in the overflow parking, which is TBD.
If our parking and overflow parking lots are full, DO NOT PARK IN THE PRIVATE PARKING LOTS OF OUR NEIGHBORS. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE. Use street parking instead.
