1. Touchless temperature scanning will take place at the door - anyone with a fever (temp greater than 100.4 F) will not be allowed to enter 2. Masks must be worn at all times including for fencers under their fencing mask. It must cover the mouth AND nose. No vented masks or shields. 3. Each fencer can have a maximum of one guardian with them - coach or parent/guardian. No parents on the fencing floor - they must stay in the designated areas. Coaches (as defined as +coach USA fencing membership) MAY be allowed on the fencing floor depending on space. 4. Hand sanitizer must be used upon entering and before leaving

There will be limited spectators.. Each fencer is allowed a maximum of one (1) spectator in attendance; this one person may be parent, guardian, coach. The spectators must stay in the designated areas - we are only allowed to have 8 persons in our waiting/viewing area per social distancing regulations. For the health and safety of everyone attending parents will need to wait outside or in their car during warm up and pools - use the living streaming button provided to follow the action There will be exceptions made for very young fencers (eg Y10). We will have Crowd Representatives to let one designated adult into the viewing area during direct elimination bouts ONLY. Please leave as soon as your fencers finishes their bout so that the next parent can enter. There are NO parents allowed on the fencing floor Coaches with certified check ed credentials may be allowed on the fencing floor if space permits.
This event will have live streaming from four cameras in the gym. The link will be provided to all registered participants
Valid USA Fencing membership card is required for check in as is either a birth certificate or passport unless the membership card shows age verified.
Subject to Michigan laws and orders regarding COVID-19, including assembly of persons, or if any circumstances arise that would preclude safe running of this event, this tournament can be cancelled at any time. Should the tournament need to be cancelled, any refund of fees is subject to USA Fencing.
All fencers and parents must sign a Liability Waiver when they register and must abide by and comply with all safety measures required by the tournament organizer. Anyone (fencer or spectator) refusing to comply with safety protocols will be escorted from the venue. There will be no exceptions to COVID-19 safety protocols implemented throughout the tournament. If you cannot comply please do not register for this tournament.
Registrations for each event in this tournament will be capped at 21 in order to maintain compliance with local health and safety regulations and occupancy restrictions - however we would really prefer to let everyone fence so if an event is full and another event set to take place at the same time has fewer we will make every attempt to allow any fencers on the wait list to participate. Entry is on a first-come first-served basis – no exceptions. Direct any questions regarding capping to USA Fencing National Office. We may need to change event times to allow all fencers who wish to register to have the chance to participate
There will be equipment check at designated stations outside. We have some equipment in stock if needed. If you know you will need something contact us in advance and we will confirm whether we have it in stock and have it ready for you
