This tournament is subject to Connecticut laws and orders regarding COVID-19, including assembly of persons. If any circumstances arise that would preclude safe running of this event, this tournament can be cancelled at any time. Should tournament cancel, any refund of fees is subject to USA Fencing. There will be no exceptions to any COVID-19 safety protocols implemented throughout the tournament. We will be following federal, CDC, and USA Fencing guidelines and regulations regarding COVID-19 based on pandemic status at the time and we will communicate guidelines with fencers via email prior to the tournament. If you cannot comply with Infectious Diseases guidelines do not register for this tournament. Spectators: Each fencer is allowed one (1) plus-one, which does not include their coach. Clubs will be allowed 2 coaches in attendance. All fencers and spectators should:
• Self-monitor and be symptom-free for at least 14 days prior to tournament. Stay home if you have had close sustained contact in last 14 days with anyone who was sick or known or believed to have COVID-19. Stay home if you are sick or do not feel well.
• Wash and sanitize all your fencing equipment. Consult the manufacturer for proper cleaning instructions to avoid possible damage to equipment.
• Fencers should come to the tournament already dressed in freshly washed fencing uniform as changing in bathrooms may not be permitted.
• Everyone in the venue must wear a surgical or cloth mask covering nose and mouth, even under fencing masks, except when drinking or eating. Mask must cover nose and mouth. There is no exception to this requirement. We cannot accommodate those with conditions that would preclude wearing a mask, so anyone unable to wear a mask should stay home.
• Practice social distancing.
• Refrain from contacting other participants and attendees (handshakes, body contact, etc.)
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow if you cough or sneeze.
• Avoid touching your face, eyes or mouth with unclean hands.
• Do not share equipment such as weapons, body cords, fencing masks, gloves or uniforms, with others.
There will not be a medal ceremony. Fencers can pick up medals as they leave the venue. Medals awarded to Top 8, except in events with 10 or less, where Top 4 will receive medals.
Online registration for all events of the Neil Lazar RYC/RJCC will open on August 10, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) (9:00 a.m. PST). All events will be capped and entry is on a first-come first-served basis – no exceptions. Caps may be adjusted depending on registrations in each event. Once the event cap has been reached fencers will be placed on a wait list. Fencer must supply a payment method to join the wait list and be eligible for graduation into the event. Wait-listed entry without payment method is considered pending and your position will drop below completed entries. Wait lists will also be cleared on a first-come first-served basis.
Valid USA Fencing membership card with bar code is required for contactless check-in. Cards can be printed from your USA Fencing membership profile page.
There will be one entrance/exit point to enter the building. You must enter through the Sherman Parkway doors.
We encourage you to bring your own water, as public water stations may not be available.
There will be equipment check. Armory services will be available (for fee) and Blue Gauntlet Fencing Gear (http://www.blue-gauntlet.com) will be on-site for equipment purchases.
Tournament info (pools, DE, strip assignments, results etc) can only be assessed via internet/cell phone at fencingtimelive.com. Announcements will also be made over the loudspeaker. There will be no paper postings or video monitors at the venue.

LATE ENTRY: TRIPLE fee registration/payment deadline: September 15-24, 2021: $105 registration fee plus $165/event
Tournament registration fee and USA Fencing administration fee are nonrefundable.
NO WALKS-INS accepted.
Must send notification of withdrawal and request for refund to email@example.com. FENCERS WHO WITHDRAW THEMSELVES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Requests for event fees refunds will only be honored if received prior to midnight on September 25, 2021. There will be no exceptions to this policy, no refunds issued after this date for any reason. USA Fencing will issue refund to credit card used for the registration.
All close of check-in times are subject to change, and refunds will not be issued due to event time changes. We strongly encourage you to keep your entire day flexible until final close-of check-in times are posted. Any time changes will be posted no later than September 16, 2021. On tournament day, fencers arriving after close of check-in will not be permitted to compete and will be withdrawn from the competition, and there will be no refund of entry fees for any reason. There are no refunds for no-shows.
