Fencers under 18 years of age can have ONE companion (Plus-One). This companion is either an adult or a coach, but not both. Have a clear copy of your membership card, or image on your phone, ready at check-in to speed up the check-in process. Equipment Check will be open each day 90 minutes before your event time. Fencers are NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE VENUE BEFORE 90 MINUTES of THEIR EVENT. If your event at 8:00 AM, don’t arrive before 6:30 AM. If your event at noon, don’t arrive before 10:30 AM. If your event at 4:00 PM, don’t arrive before 2:30 PM.
NO FENCING ROLLING BAGS are allowed inside the venue. However, ONLY small strip-side shoulder bags are allowed. Fencers are to come to the venue semi-dressed up with knickers, socks, and shoes on. No change of clothes in locker or restrooms is permitted. Everyone in the venue must wear a face mask that covers both the nose and mouth, even while fencing. There are no exceptions, unless eating and/or drinking. If you are unable to wear a face mask, stay home. Face Shield is not a replacement to a face mask. No food or drinks are allowed in the designated Fencing Zone. During Pools, No parents, coaches, or spectators are allowed in the designated Fencing Zone. NO EXCEPTIONS. However, only one coach can enter the Fencing area to assist a fencer ONLY during DE bouts. Coaches will stand in a clearly designated area and will be instructed not to approach the referee, the fencer or enter the strip enclosure. During the one-minute break, the fencer can approach the coach at the end of the strip. Violators will be subject to Group 3 penalty for "Disturbing Orders". Fencers, please relay this information to your coach. Fencers must stay behind the strip at all times, except when fencing. Fencers are not allowed to touch the scoring machine, weights, shims, remote and scoresheet. Fencers are not to sign the score sheet or DE slips. They can check the results at FencingTimeLive and report any errors to the Bout Committee. Fencers are to refrain from shaking hands after bouts and from shouting or screaming after scoring a touch. When you have finished fencing in your event, please gather up your belongings quickly and leave the building immediately with your companion. You may not stay and socialize. There will be no medal ceremony. Top 8 fencers will receive their medals from the Bout Committee on their way out. No monitors will be displaying pools or DE results.
