The venue will open at 7:00 am then registration for the events will start.
-By then this tournament is subject to Illinois state laws and orders regarding COVID - 19.
-COVID-19 Protocols will be implemented throughout the whole tournament. There will be no exceptions. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER, IF YOU CAN'T COMPLY WITH THIS
U P D A T E S AS OF JANUARY 7th, 2022
Over the past week, the Cook County Department of Public Health has updated the Mitigation Order 2021-11. This update now requires guests 19 years of age and older participating in health and fitness classes, adult sports, and events where food is being served, to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Those who is 18 and younger no proof of vaccination required.
Additionally, spectators of indoor sporting events are exempt from this order, provided food and drink are not served and spectators are required to wear masks.
An updated order and guidance were issued today, January 7, according to the statement from CCDPH.
-Masking requirements are still in place in these facilities. Face Shield is not a replacement to regular face mask.
-In case the tournament is cancelled due to COVID-19 or by order of USA Fencing, a full refund will be issued to all fencers except for admin fees.
-A temperature check will be taken before you enter the fencing room. Everyone in the venue must wear a face masks. (Subject to change) except when eating and/or drinking. There are no exceptions.
- Check-In: Arrive at least one hour before the close of registration of your event. Fencers should enter the venue wearing freshly washed whites / uniform. Changing in bathrooms is not permitted due to COVID-19.
-Fencers will need a current USA Fencing Membership Card . Also bring proof of age (birth certificate, passport, driver’s license).
-Because of the new rules of Chicago Health Department as of January 3rd, we can allow Only ONE guardian per fencer may enter the competition area. This means one parent, one coach, or one other adult allowed in the designated fencing area and only during DE bouts. Only fencers are allowed inside the fencing area for the time they are fencing. NO EXCEPTIONS
Violators will be escorted out of the venue!
No food or drink will be allowed in the venue. Please bring your own food/drink OR there are a lot of restaurants in this area at walking distance.
-There may be additional instructions related to COVID-19 safety measures. We will keep this webpage updated and we will send a mass email to all participants with all instructions prior to the tournament. -There are the same rules as before diring the pandemic as in all tournaments such as: No touching scoring machine, weights, shims, remotes and scoresheets. Also fencers to retrain from shaking hands after bouts. When you finished your event, please gather up your belonging and leave the tournament venue.
-Equipment Check: The equipment check before competing is required and will open one hour before the first event.
-Top 8 will receive a medals and the winner will receive a special prize.
-There will be NO Lost & Found ! Anything left at the end of the day will be thrown out.

Please note: all registration fees are non-refundable. Refund requests (for event fees only) must be received by December 31st,20212 to email: firstname.lastname@example.org to submit refund request. Please include the following in your email: The fencer's name, usfa membership # and the events for which you need a refund. Refunds may be processed 3-6 weeks after the competition.
