The Rocky Mountain RYC is sanctioned tournament by the USA Fencing. The RYC events provide an opportunity to earn Youth 10/12/14 regional points in respective gender/weapon categories and it is a qualifying path for Summer Nationals based on fencer’s eligibility to fence in respective age category.

Medals will be awarded to the top 4 fencers in each event.
FORMAT All events will have one round of pools with 100% promoted to a direct elimination (DE) tableau. There is no fence-off for third place.
EVENT REGISTRATION TIMES LISTED ARE TENTATIVE (dates will not change) Time schedule will be finalized 2 days after close of regular registration. PLEASE NOTE THAT TIMES MIGHT CHANGE. As event size is hard to predict we use our best judgement to forecast event schedule. However, we reserve a right to change the schedule of specific event(s) within that day based on actual number of prepregistrations. Armory will open one hour prior to first event. Armourers will check masks, gloves, head cords, body cords, manchette, and lames. Full Armory Equipment Check is required for all competitors, with no exceptions. Fencers only need to have their equipment passed once for the duration of the RYC. For Y10 events, a 30” or 32” blade is required.
ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: Fencers competing must be current competitive members of USA Fencing. Your USA Fencing membership card will be checked during check-in, so please make sure you have it with you. Temporary paper membership cards can be printed off from https://member.usfencing.org/ or you may present an electronic version. Non age-eligible fencers could fence an event if they have national points in a previous age category.
EVENT FEES The regular fee registration period ends at 11:59pm 09/04/2022. The late registration period – 09/05/2022 to 11:59pm 09/11/2022. All registrations made after 11:59pm on 09/11/2022 cannot be made online and will be considered walk-ins. Payment at the door for walk-in registration must be made in cash. Regular Registration Fee: $29 Regular Fee per Event: $45 Late Registration Fee: $99 Late Event Fee per Event: $135. Walk-in fees: Same as Late Fees at the door for walk-in registrations must be made in cash. REFUNDS Registration fees and administration fees will not be refunded. Last day to request refund of event fees is September 16. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Refunds will be processed by the national office shortly after your request.
